This one pot rigatoni is saucy and cheesy, and it’s a better-for-you pasta option – it’s a weight watchers friendly pasta! Saucy, creamy, and DELICIOUS!
If you ask Jack what his favorite food is, without a doubt, he will say, “Pasta and Salad – you know those are my favorites!”
Needless to say, we eat a lot of pasta around here. Fortunately, I love pasta, too, and there’s so much versatility in what you can make.
I’ve made lasagna pasta a few times in the past (even though it doesn’t actually have lasagna noodles…weird). Since I am on Weight Watchers right now, I decided to make a few healthier swaps and use rigatoni pasta.
It turned out so good! This is a great one pot pasta dish, and everyone in the family loved it. It really does taste like lasagna! It’s saucy, creamy, and cheesy – all essentials in life π
Jack and Oliver both asked for seconds (possibly thirds), and I can hardly wait to eat it at lunch time!
One serving is 10 points using the points plus model with Weight Watchers. Obviously not the lowest point meal, but for it being a hearty pasta dinner, I’d say it’s not too bad!

This sounds absolutely delicious. I’m kind of confused cause when I put in the exact measurements into my weight watchers app for a serving of 6, it tells me it’s 14 points and if I change everything for 4 servings, it’s 16 points.
Katie says
Hi, Rebecca! It may depend on the ingredients or what weight watchers plan you are on. I did this post several years ago, and I think they’ve changed the program since then π

I love your receipes but why donβt we have all the receipe at all we have to buy a pasta sauce from the store will be great if we can do the pasta sauce to add to the receipe Soo many receipes appear to be incomplete to me if I have to buy a all ready sauce in store.Thank you
Katie says
You are welcome to use your own homemade pasta sauce – however, in my experience, people have different preferences and abilities. I use store bought pasta sauce all the time – and that’s how this recipe was made. We try to keep things as simple as possible around here.

Great recipe , canβt make it enough . Question , how many servings is in that recipe for the 10 points
Katie says
This makes about six servings, so just divide it up into 6 portions to get the approximate amount for 10 points π I didn’t measure this recipe out when I made it (I should have!) to get a more precise serving size. So glad you love it!
Christine says
Silly question but how much of the box of pasta is 2/3 ?
Katie says
Not a silly question! I used a 16 ounce box, so just 2/3 of that size π
Alicia says
What size is a serving?

I have shared this recipe with everyone I know. It is SO GOOOOOD!!
Katie says
Oh! I’m so glad!
Emily says
When do you add the al dente pasta to the sauce?
Katie says
Just at the end
