Kid Lunch Notes
I remember when Jack was born, the day he started school seemed so far away.
I’ve never been one to want to rush my children to grow up and push them out into the world. I think keeping them under my safe watch for as long as possible is just fine.
Unfortunately for me, the day Jack starts school is coming quicker than I anticipated. While we are mainly going to be doing home preschool, he will be going to a class for three hours once a week starting in September taught by a lady from church.
While I know he will learn so much, have a lot of fun, and be loved on by his teacher, it still makes me a little bit sad.
Why do kids have to grow up so fast?
At least I have a year left until kindergarten!
Anyways, when I was growing up, my mom always put a note on a napkin in my lunchbox. She did this until the day I graduated from high school, and it is something I always cherished.
She always did this for all of her children, and even though some were more embarrassed than others, we all loved it. No matter what kind of sandwich she made, what kind of drink she put in (even if we were lucky enough to get something like a bottle of Tampico), or what treat she gave us, the note is what we all looked for.
When my kids go to school, I plan to do the same. I’ve seen a lot of cute printables that people make, but I think I’ll stick to a good ol’ fashioned napkin.
I thought I would share 101 lunch box note ideas in case you get stuck.
You can always just put “Good luck on your test!” Or “I love you!” on the note, but sometimes it’s fun to get a little more creative.
However, I know printables are popular too…so I’ve created some great ones that you can download as well.
In this post, you’ll find quotes, jokes, riddles, and even conversation starters. I hope that you’ll find this useful with the new school year coming up!
Now excuse me while I go cuddle my boys and pray they decide to slow down in their growth for a few more days.
