Is Cricut taking over your house? Welcome to the club! Here are tons of Cricut storage ideas and organization hacks to help you take back your home. There is an option for every budget!
I don’t know about you, but organization is not my strong suit – especially when it comes to my craft room.
There are just so many accessories and materials – especially since I use my Cricut Maker a lot – and they often get scattered all over the room.
I’m not joking when I say that for the last year or so, my office was just full of boxes of craft supplies, and I would spend way too long wading through them to find the one thing I was looking for.
And I ended up with way too many duplicate supplies!
Based on the number of times I see people asking about Cricut and craft room storage in my Cricut Facebook Group, I know I’m not the only one with a problem.
So I thought I’d share some different ideas that I’ve found – some are more expensive, but there should be an option for every budget.
If you want to know how to organize your Cricut supplies but just don’t know where to start, this post will leave you on the right foot!

Cricut Storage Ideas for Maker Machine and Explore Air 2 Machine
There are a lot of carts and shelves that are perfect for storing Cricut machines. Here are a few that have good reviews and would be great options.
Honey Can Do Cart-I love this little cart! The drawers look like they are easy to pull in and out, as well as store lots of materials, and the top is wide enough to put machines on top of.
Hudson Cart by Recollections – I actually own this one and L-O-V-E it. I keep it in the basement where I do my crafting videos and photography, and it’s the perfect little companion. My Maker fits perfectly on the top, and I can also store my EasyPress 2 with other supplies. It comes in Black and White.
Essex Cart by Recollections – When I asked for suggestions in my Cricut group, a few people recommended this. It has a shelf and several drawers, which is nice. The top is long enough for a machine, and it even has an extendable top.
Cricut Workstation Ideas
Create Room – I absolutely LOVE this company. They have the most amazing craft and sewing storage options out there. I own the WorkBox 3.0, and The DreamBox, which is their newest and best product.
They are a bit pricey, but they are 100% worth the investment if you have lots of crafting and hobby supplies. I cannot sing their praises enough.
You can get $100 off the purchase of a Dream Box from the Create Room website using the code CLARKS100. occasionally there are other deals, and if we have one better than this, you’ll see it below this box (otherwise, the $100 is the best offer at the time!)

Their craft storage furniture has been designed specifically for crafters in mind – whether you just do it as a hobby or as a business. I absolutely love all the attention to detail that is put into all of their products. I sometimes just look at my WorkBox 3.0 now, and I think how awesome everything looks.
Here is a video they did of me showing how I have mine setup:
They do have a few other workstations that you could use for Cricutting and Crafting that cost a little bit less that you can view on their website.
Best Cricut Storage
There are a lot of really hand tips and unique solutions for storing craft supplies. Here are some of my favorite ideas for Cricut supply storage.
Plastic Drawers – I purchased a large set of plastic drawers (THIS ONE), which has been great for keeping things organized. Mine isn’t that aesthetically beautiful, but I just stumbled across this set, that I think is beautiful! You can put your machine on top of these as well, which helps keep things picked up!
The one that I have is rather wide, so if you’d like to have smaller drawers, you could buy this one (or even buy two – sometimes it’s nice to have multiple drawers and dedicate each to a specific material!).
Hang Mats – It’s important to try and keep your cutting mats away from the floor and other materials, since they are sticky and attract just about every loose scrap, hair, or thread that’s floating around. Hanging them on the wall with a command hook helps keep them easily accessible but away from everything else.
Kitchen Island – You can get an inexpensive kitchen island or kitchen cart for around $100-200, and these can have a lot of great storage space for crafts. We got one from Wayfair, and they have lots of options. I think the ones with wheels are especially great.
Plastic Bins – You can get some cute ones at the Dollar Tree that are perfect for storing craft supplies. They usually have a variety of colors available. I’m sure you can get them elsewhere, but if you are on a budget, this is a great option. You can check out other Dollar Store organization products here.
Shelves – You can just add some shelving units for your office, or smaller shelves to put throughout your craft room. You can get freestanding ones or floating ones to put on the wall. Shelves are essential to the organization in my opinion. This is a fun way to organize paint using wall shelves.
I just loved this idea for scissor storage from Craft Remedy!
5 Drawer Cart and 10 Drawer Cart – These are great options for storing paper, supplies, sheets of vinyl, etc. The top isn’t wide enough for a machine, but
Peg Boards – These can be really helpful when you don’t have a lot of floor space as you can put them on the wall and hang hooks. I absolutely LOVE this craft pegboard from Ginger Snap Crafts.
Pencil Box – These would be great for storing scrap pieces of vinyl or even storing weeded HTV or vinyl that you need to use later.
Lexington 3-Tier Rolling Cart – This wouldn’t be wide/long enough to store a machine, but it could probably store the smaller EasyPress 2 machines (the 6×7 and mini). Good for storing other materials.
Cricut Storage for Tool Organization
Cricut Accessory Pouches – I just love these – I have one in each color. I love that they are easy to transport, but that they are also sturdy enough to stand up on their own.
Pencil Box – In addition to storing scraps, these are great for tools and markers.
Jars – Mason jars, cookie jars, pickle jars…the sky is the limit with jars! You can store yarn, buttons, glue, paint…whatever you can fit. You can make some cute labels to put on them as well. Take a quick trip to your local consignment store and see what you can find. If you want ones that are a little nicer looking (and matching), I love some of the options on Wayfair and on Amazon.
Here are a couple of cute ideas using jars:
- Marker Holders
- Magnetic Jar Board
- Yarn Storage
- Spice Jars
I LOVE these jars from Create Room. You get six with lids for $24.95. Very good quality.
Coffee Mugs for Accessories – Okay, this is just what I do, but I think it’s fun. There are so many cute coffee mugs out there – store your pens, scrapers, weeders, etc. in them! You could also use pen holders. This “I <3 Crafting” Mug would be perfect!
Marker Storage Satchel – This is from a company called Art Bin. This would be perfect for pens for writing with your Cricut.
Paper and Cricut Vinyl Storage
File Folders for single sheets – Quickly organize your vinyl, etc. in file folders and then put them in a filing cabinet!
Bottle Drying Rack for Rolls – Well, this is where my two worlds collide – babies and Cricut. This may seem a bit out there, but this could be a fun way to store your rolls! This is the one I would recommend.
My friend posted about the Art Bin company on Instagram stories, and I was immediately intrigued. I think this looks like an awesome way to store vinyl. Of course, the more budget-friendly option is the garbage bag holders – people rave about them for vinyl!
This is from Create Room and it’s awesome. It’s perfect for sheets of vinyl, cardstock, or paper, and it’s easily adjustable. Very good quality.
Door Shoe Organizer – I’ve seen a lot of people recommend having one of these. You can store rolls, accessories, etc. I think it’s great for places where you don’t have a lot of extra storage or desk space for storage.
Plastic bins – This one is pretty simple…but sometimes that’s better, right?
Baskets in basket holder
IKEA plastic bag holder – I LOVE this! You can easily put them on the wall or on a door, and they should hold about 10-14 bags. If you Google “IKEA plastic bag holder Cricut” and look at images, you will see plenty of examples. They are $8.99 for one online…but if you have an IKEA nearby, they are only $1.99!
Wire baskets on wall/door – You can get ones that hang on the door or that can be attached to the wall – or you can put them into a little shelf! would be perfect for anyone who needs some compact solutions. Undershelf wire baskets
Wine rack – I don’t drink wine, but when I saw a wine rack, I immediately thought it would be PERFECT for storing rolls of vinyl. Plus, they often look quite classy! You can check out to see if one fits your fancy!
Scrapbooks – I can’t remember where I saw this initially, but it’s a great idea. One lady said that she cut her rolls of vinyl into 12×12 plastic sheets, put them in 12×12 plastic sheets, and then put those into a 12×12 scrapbook/binder. Such an easy and smart way to stay organized!

Sooooo happy to have found this article!! Ever since I got my cricut a few months ago, my living room has been consumed with cords, pens, vinyl, cardstock. Everything all of my kids love to grab at. I struggled with a way to keep it organized and finally gave up and put it all in reuseable grocery bag to clean the clutter. I hope to put some of these ideas to use!
