The Dollar Maxi Pad Club is a new subscription service that women everywhere need to know about! They offer pads, tampons, and even menstrual cups. Here is my review and thoughts on how it works (and the products) as well as a 10% off coupon!
Dollar Maxi Pad Club – My Review and Thoughts
Awhile back, my friend, Annette, announced her family’s new business venture – a subscription club where that delivered all your monthly feminine needs straight to your door – starting at just $1.
And today, the Dollar Maxi Pad Club has officially launched!
I thought it seemed like a really smart idea – because who loves running to the grocery store in the middle of the night because you ran out of supplies? Or worse – having to send your husband?
My husband is a good sport, but I know it’s not his favorite task.
I also thought this was an awesome idea for college students (affordable, good quality, and you don’t have to think about it), or even daughters of single fathers who are trying to navigate the sometimes tricky world of menstruation.
But honestly, I think it’s a company ANYONE (well, that has a uterus) can benefit from. I mean, this video pretty much explains it all.
The people at the Dollar Maxi Pad Club were kind enough to send me two months of product so I could try them out and let you know what I think of the process and products. I was really excited to see what they had to offer, and if it was worth using on a regular basis.

How Does Dollar Maxi Pad Club Work?
It is a very streamlined process to get your box setup and ready to ship. You can have it come at whatever increment of time you want (typically based on your cycle length), and there is NO contract – you can cancel anytime.
To start, just head to DollarMaxiPadClub.com and click on “Join the Club”:
At this point, you will be brought to this page. You can toggle across the menu at the top to the different products available. Just add to your cart whatever you think you will need for your monthly cycle.
Once you’ve decided what you want, you can click on your cart at the top right of the page, and it will bring you to this page:
It will tell you if it’s a product that is billed monthly, the cost, and how much each item costs. It will also give you the total and allow you to select your cycle length:
You will then enter your billing information, and it will be sent off to be fulfilled. Easy as pie! After that, you don’t need to do anything – your monthly package will arrive right when you need it every month (until you cancel your subscription).
Easy as Pie!

The awesome thing about the products they offer are that they only sell products made from the best ingredients for your body. They are all chemical free, perfume free, dye free, and free of any other harmful ingredients.
Most menstrual products cannot claim that – and honestly, these products are coming in contact with your most sensitive areas. It’s worth it to make sure they are getting the best care.
Here is a little video I did showing off the products (please note that I received the Toblerone bar, but this is not the one they send anymore):
So my thoughts on the products. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I use menstrual cups, which I love. So I was excited to see that the Dollar Maxi Pad Club offered menstrual cups. Because I have a low cervix, traditional menstrual cups don’t work for me, but I was interested to see if this one did.

Unfortunately, it did not, but for most women, it should work a-okay. I was really hoping it would because the material was comfortable, it was flexible, and it was very high quality. It seems like it will hold a fair amount of fluid, which is nice. I think the sizing seems accurate – so just go off of the instructions on the site. I would DEFINITELY try these out if you are curious about menstrual cups.
Because it’s clear, you can rest assured that they don’t have dyes in them. They are made from high quality silicone, have a stem for easy removal (though you can easily cut it off if you don’t like it), and it comes in a cute pink satin bag.
I do recommend measuring your cervix before ordering these cups. As I mentioned, these did not work well for me because I have a very low cervix, so it kept coming out. If you have a low cervix, this shape may not be sufficient for you (I would recommend something like the femmycycle – especially if you have a heavy cycle – or the MeLuna brand).
I really liked the panty liners quite a bit. I used these the first few days of my cycle where I’m more prone to leaks, and I thought they worked well.
Their panty liners and pads all have a charcoal and bamboo anion chip which helps wick away moisture, smell and helps to alleviate cramps. I thought it worked great for those purposes, and I’ve never seen a product like that before.
I did try out the pads just to get an idea of what I thought. They are very soft and seemed to do their job – the overnight ones were especially good (if you have a heavy cycle, I would recommend these for during the day).
I haven’t tried the tampons, which they sent me this month – I’ve never liked using tampons (oh, the cramps they induce are horrible). They seem to be pretty good quality though. They are compact, which is nice for easy storage, and they are free of any dyes, lotions, or harmful chemicals.
The feminine wipes are nice and refreshing. They are just $1, so I recommend adding one or two of these to your monthly subscription!
And finally – my favorite product – the pamper me box. This is such a nice feature that they’ve added to make that time of the month a little more bearable. It comes with a face mask, a beauty blender, and a chocolate bar (I got Toblerone, but this has been changed to a different kind 🙂 each month. I really enjoyed mine last month!
Dollar Maxi Pad Kits
The Dollar Maxi Pad club recently adding two new “kits” to their website – the postpartum kit and the first-period set.
I think both of these are awesome ideas, and they are a great value for the money.
First off, with the postpartum kit, you get everything you need for the weeks of recovery after giving birth. You will get:
- 20 Heavy Pads
- 30 Regular Pads
- 20 Panty Liners
- Face Mask
- Beauty Blender
- Chocolate
- Diaper Cream Sample
- Nipple cream sample
- Perineal Spray
I absolutely love the idea of the first-period kit. Starting your menstrual cycle can feel like such an awkward and embarrassing time – but it doesn’t have to be. It’s a sign of being a healthy woman, and it should be celebrated – not met with embarrassment. I think ordering one of these kits for your daughter or granddaughter would be a great way to help prevent a little bit of awkwardness and make it seem more normal.
The first-period kit includes:
- 20 panty liners
- 10 regular flow pads
- 10 count feminine wipes
- Cute zipper carrying pouch
- Face mask
- Hershey Bar
How fun is that!
Dollar Maxi Pad Club Review – is it worth it?
Absolutely. I think that they offer a bargain on the products they offer, and the added convenience of not having to go to the store to get these types of products is amazing.
Apparently, similar services offer products starting at about $12 a month, and the products aren’t as high of quality. Although I’ve never tried other services out, I really do think the price is hard to beat. I love that the products are the highest quality and don’t have any harmful chemicals, perfumes or dyes.
They also have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, which makes it risk free to try out.
I don’t know too many people who look forward to their periods, but the Dollar Maxi Pad Club does make it a little easier. I’m not sure about you, but the last thing I want to do when this time of the month comes around
