Is the Mopnado really a spin mop worth investing in? Here is our experience so far with this spin mop!
Mopnado Luxe Premium Spin Mop
In the eight years that we have been married, I have never owned a mop.
Don’t worry – we have cleaned our floors using our Bissell Steam Mop (which sadly doesn’t work anymore), but for the most part, I just spot cleaned everything.
However, in this house we recently moved into, it was clear that spot cleaning wasn’t going to cut it.
I purchased a Robot Mop which helped with keeping the floor looking not messy – but I did find that it didn’t get all the nooks and crannies you would get by cleaning yourself.
And honestly – the floor still always felt a little bit sticky!
So I realized an actual mop might be the best option for our tile floors – and at about that time, Mopnado reached out to me about trying out their deluxe spin mopping machine.
My main experience with mops have been big buckets, dripping mop heads (despite wringing them out), and the floor taking forever to dry. Which is probably why I was hesitant to use a traditional mop.
However, the Mopnado is definitely not your traditional mopping system, and after using it, I’m actually really excited about it.
While Mopnado did send me this mopping system, I have done my best to keep this open and honest. There are some things I did not like, but the pros outweigh the cons.
“For being a mop and a bucket, I really like it!”

What is Mopnado?
The Mopnado is a spin mop that is designed to make mopping a less daunting, wet task.
You fill up the bucket with water and some floor cleaning solution in your sink or bathtub to get started.
After you have it in the area you want to mop, get the mop head wet, and then you dry off the excess water before you start mopping with the spinning drier.
When you need to get the mop head clean, just repeat the process. It gets all that excess dirt off in the agitator! It makes it a lot easier to clean your mop as you go, and you don’t have to wring it out yourself. Here is a before and after of the mop head:
Unlike other spin mops, you don’t have to do any pumping with your feet to activate the spin system. You keep both feet on the ground and spin with your arms!
I really loved that it had an extendable, long arm, which makes it so you aren’t having to lean over or overextend yourself as much.
The stainless steel basket that you use for drying is nice because it won’t rust or keep any smell.
How Much Does it Cost?
The Mopnado Walkable Spin Mop is $59.99, and it includes the bucket, mop stick, microfiber mop heads, and scrubber. You can buy the accessories separately when you need to replace them through their website.
They also have a deluxe bundle which comes with floor cleaning solution and extra microfiber mop heads for $99.97.
You can use whatever floor cleaner you want, though, which is nice!
All orders over $25 ship for free, so the price is pretty good in my opinion. I think this would make for a great housewarming or wedding gift.

How well does it clean?
When I walked on the floor after I was done mopping, I couldn’t believe how clean it felt.
No sticky residue. Not wet. It just felt so clean.
That experience of walking on it afterward is what convinced me that this was a product I needed to keep using. As much as I enjoy the automation of my robot mop – and it really is great for maintenance…there’s nothing that can *quite* replace the touch of a human hand.
And Mopnado makes it a little bit easier.
There were no streaks, and everything dried super quickly.
We were able to get some more stuck on stains easily, and the floor looked amazing afterward.
The other day, a bottle of maple syrup fell out of the pantry, and it shattered everywhere.
Beyond the problem of having glass everywhere, the stickiness of the maple syrup was not something that looked like fun to clean up.
However, Forrest pulled out the Mopnado, and it did a great job.
Pros:
Lightweight
I was really impressed with how lightweight everything about the Mopnado was – right down to the bucket.
Being pregnant and exhausted, I have very little tolerance for anything heavy. The only part I struggled with at all was removing it from our sink after I put water in it, but it wasn’t even that heavy then.
The mop and all it’s components are easy to move around and are very lightweight. Being able to remove the excess water from the mop head makes it even easier!
Easy to get excess dirt
As I already mentioned, this thing really can clean. I didn’t feel like I had to put in any extra effort to get these stuck on spots that were under the trash can, which was nice!
Easy to haul around the room
I love the walkable bucket! Being pregnant, I can’t really pick up and haul around big buckets of water. I love that it has a handle that I can just pull around the room – almost weightlessly.
The drier really gets so much water out
The stainless steel bucket that gets out the excess water really works so well.
News flash – your mop doesn’t need to be sopping wet to use it! If you have wood floors, this is especially awesome since you definitely shouldn’t be using a sopping wet mop.
I spun the mop several times and got out a lot of extra water, yet it still cleaned so well. Almost like magic.
Adjustable
I love that the handle is adustable. It’s nice so everyone can use it, and you don’t have to feel like you are having to overextend yourself to reach hard to get to areas.
Fast drying and no Streaks
My floors dried so and had NO streaks afterward.
The kids think it’s really cool
Really, anything that amazes my kids is a winner in my book. They LOVE the Mopnado and helping out with it.
The mop stands up by itself
At first I was like…why does this matter? But is actually interesting how often I found myself leaving it standing it by itself when I had to go run and do something else. It’s nice not to have to drop it to the ground or return it to the bucket if you have to leave it for a little bit.
Cons:
I will 100% admit that some of these cons may have come from human error. I watched one video beforehand, but I should have watched more just to make sure I was doing best. The instructions that come with the Mopnado are mediocre at best, so you definitely want to make sure you watch videos and read online tutorials first!
I found it hard to keep the mop together
During my first go around with it, I felt like it kept falling apart. Forrest didn’t have this issue when he used it, so again, likely human error.
But I do feel like it could have been a little bit more intuitive to put together – and more importantly, keep together, during the mopping process.
Forrest didn’t realize you had to loosen the mop in order to do the spinning. Once he realized that, he liked it a lot. Though it is annoying to keep having to twist and untwist it whenever you spin it out.
The rinse aid dispenser was annoying
So it has a little floor cleaner bottle where you can put your cleaner of choice, which is nice.
However, it kept falling off and into the bucket. I found it really difficult to screw into place and have it stay there.
Not sure the scrubber is very effective
I tried using the scrubber but didn’t really find it to be that helpful. Maybe I wasn’t using it right, but I probably will just stick to the microfiber mops.
Had to step on the mop in the bucket to get it to go in the slot
So when I put the mop into the water agitator, it didn’t click in super easily. Every time, I literally had to put my foot on the mop to get it to click into place. It was because the mop holder thing seemed to get kind of stuck at a slant, and I would have to push down on it to straighten it out.
This wasn’t *that* big of a deal, but it was kind of annoying!
Different motions
This isn’t really a con – just something you have to get used to. Using a Mopnado Mop is different from a regular mopping motion, and it messed me up a few times.
Hard to Store
The mop isn’t hard to store – we put it in our cleaning closet! However, the bucket is rather large and cumbersome, which makes it difficult to find a good storage spot for it.
Overall, I think the Mopnado is a great product. It’s pretty affordable, which is nice, and it does make the chore of mopping a little easier, less wasteful, and even a little more fun.
So if you are in the market for a new mop, this might be the right one for you. It definitely gets the Clarks Condensed seal of approval!
