The Dollar Tree is one of the best places to get Christmas decor, candy, and more. Here are the best Dollar Christmas Products of 2019.
Dollar Tree Christmas 2019
Well, we went to the Dollar Tree the other day, and it’s safe to say that Christmas season is in full-force over there.
Nevermind that there were only two days left until Halloween, and they only had a small batch of Halloween decor left. Ha!
I was pleasantly surprised at how much people seemed to enjoy my post – The Best Halloween Products to Buy at the Dollar Tree…so I figured, why not do one for Christmas?!
They have a lot of fun and unique products available at the Dollar Tree, so I thought I’d bring your attention to the things that I thought were the most useful (or, in some cases, the most awesome). This is definitely not all inclusive – you really have to go in and see what they have. I think there are a lot of great things available for crafting especially.
And I apologize for the quality of these photos. I looked like a total weirdo taking pictures of the shelves, so I tried to be discrete.

Candy!
Okay, I know that this isn’t super unique or cool, but the Dollar Tree definitely has lots of candy. You can probably find some deals elsewhere for a better price, but for the most part, they are well-stocked with
Solar Powered Dancing Characters
I haven’t seen these quite yet at our Dollar Tree (right now they have the Thanksgiving ones out), but I LOVE these. They are so fun for putting in the window. I can’t help but smile. They have tons of different ones on the website (and unlike many items on the website, you only have to buy 4 at a time!).
Dollar Stree Christmas Village
I don’t have a picture for this for some reason, but the Dollar Tree has tons of great items to put in a Christmas Village. Elsewhere, these items can be rather pricey. They aren’t probably the highest quality, but they are cute and perfect for adding to a growing collection.
Even better, the Dollar Tree has mini lights and fluffy snow underlay that you can use to make your village even better! I wouldn’t normally buy lights at the Dollar Tree, since they don’t have very many, but they come in handy for smaller situations like Christmas villages. You can buy four sets for $4 on the website if you can’t make it in (that makes 80 lights – not bad!).
Stocking Stuffers
I LOVE buying stocking stuffers at the Dollar Tree. They have a lot of fun Christmas-themed items, but you can also buy little toys (like cars – my son LOVES those). I loved these fun cups, they have bubbles, paint, and more. I would definitely go in soon, though, because I feel like this might run out sooner than some things (especially for school parties). The website is a great place to order things for school parties, since you can order exactly how many you need.
You can check out our post that goes over these in detail – Our Favorite Dollar Tree Stocking Stuffers for All Ages (and Pets!)
Baking Supplies
I’m sure I’m not the only one who bakes a lot this time of year – the Dollar Tree has tons of different supplies. From evaporated milk and flour to disposable cookie and baking pans, they have everything you need to make lots of fun treats this holiday season.
LED Window Candles
My parents would sometimes put these types of candles in the window when we were growing up, and I loved them. This is a great price for an LED Window Candle. I think they are really fun!
Solar Window Candle
If you read my Halloween post, you’ll know that our Solar Powered Pumpkins are my FAVORITE decorations. So I was completely thrilled when I saw these solar powered window candles. I’m starting to wonder why I didn’t buy some while I was there (oh well, I always need an excuse to go back!).
Christmas Themed Plates and Cups
I always have loved my mom’s special Christmas plates and cups that she gets out during the holidays. The Dollar Tree has SO many Christmas-y glasses, plates, etc. It took all my will-power not to buy up a whole set.
Christmas Cookie Cutters
I’m embarrassed to admit how long it took me to find some Christmas cookie cutters a few years back. It turns out, I should have just gone to the Dollar Tree! They have this nice set of classic shapes.
Cookie Jars
I guess you could use these for purposes other than cookie jars…but really, why would you want to?! I think they are super adorable though, and they would make for great gifts as well.
Treat Tins
I am always looking for treat tins during Christmas-time, and I always end up trying to get them too late in the season to get them at the Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree was well-stocked when I went though! They have so many cute designs, and they are the same quality as ones I find at other stores (that are more expensive!).
Light up Icicles
I just thought these were really fun. They come with two, and they are perfect for trees, or maybe even for a fun DIY project!

Santa Chair Cover
Forrest thought this was really cool, so naturally, I had to include it!
Stockings
I didn’t get a picture of these, but the Dollar Tree is often stocked with stockings. While I don’t think they are the greatest quality, I do think that they work rather nicely for gifts! They do have a wide variety of fun ones, though.
Wrapping Paper/Gift Bags
Okay, I’ll be the first to admit that the wrapping paper at the Dollar Tree isn’t the highest quality – there’s usually just enough for maybe two gifts (THREE tops). However, they have some fun prints, and for just a dollar, you can afford to by more than one!
I do think that they have some great gift bags though. I think they are just as nice as the ones that are several dollars more at Target and Walmart!

Have 7 coworkers went to DT and got red and gold flower vases and all the accessories for Manicure’s and pedicures for 50 dollars so yes to Dollar Tree! Love it
Janier Caban says
Dollar Tree, first stop BEFORE I go to any arts & crafts store! Be inventive and have fun!
Faye says
Great ideas! At the DT, I noticed an end cap filled with crayola products! Glitter crayons, paints, etc. would be great stocking stuffers. Christmas craft project ideas: they had good-sized Christmas tree shapes and lots of glittery stickers for little ones. Also those clear ornaments and the foam snow beads were displayed. Pinterest has lots of ideas for those!
Katie says
Love all these ideas!

I love Dollar Tree! Always find bargains there. It’s my to go to place for shampoos, tooth paste, and other toiletries as well. I never leave empty handed whenever I go to a Dollar Tree, which is often, and I never leave leave empty handed! Highly recommend shopping there first!

Great ideas! I love the Dollar Tree. It is the best place to get any kind of gift bag and tissue paper!

I made a cute little Elf on the shelf thing from a $1 Ef. I cut out the face of the center elf on a box of rice Krispies, and stuck the elf’s face sticking out. too bad I can’t post a photo on this site….

I love it! I wish I could have you post a picture too, I’m not sure how I could. If you post it on Instagram, be sure to tag us (katie_clarkscondensed)

I didn’t need much paper this year, but picked up a roll at Dollar Tree and it was nice and thick with grid lines on the back. I was pleasantly surprised.
Dian says
Don’t forget greetings cards. The 2 for $1.00 cards are a steal. On the back of the cards you’ll see some are up to $3.50 or more and I’m getting them for.50 cents. I make my lists of birthdays and anniversary cards for the year and get them all at one time. Keep them in order, put a reminder on your iPhone or calendar and just grab your card from the stack and you’re good to go. Would NEVER buy my cards anywhere else. Love my Dollar Tree!!!!!!
Katie says
Yes!! Their greeting cards are amazing.

The cookie jars would be great to use as gift “boxes”. When I saw these cute cookie jars I thought of what terrific gift “holders” they would make for young and old alike – i.e. for the teenage girls: nail polish, emery boards, fancy glue-on nails, manicure items; for the young artist: glue/crayons/glitter, scissors); for the traveller: variety of travel-sized toiletry items, kleenex packets, small journal for keeping notes and travel agenda; for the guys: socks, tie, cologne, pen; seniors living on their own: homemade cookies; and the lists go on and on. The best thing is a lot of these items can be bought right at the same time. I often find that some items are not always easy to wrap so these type of containers have multiple uses. Faye

Such great ideas! Thanks for sharing, Faye!

Great list! I will be stopping their for Christmas wine glasses and stocking stuffers. The Goodwill near me sells a ton of new Target gift bags for .99 each.
Karen says
Please check the lights. I remember reading somewhere recently NOT to get Christmas lights at the dollar store. But I can’t remember why…but it was a good reason.
Merry Christmas!

My only requirement for buying lights is that they be UL listed. It’s hard to find light sets made in the USA, but if they’ve been tested by Underwriter’s Labs, then they should be safe.
Sarah says
Great lists! The best place I’ve found for wrapping paper (great quality, quantity, selection, AND price) is Hobby Lobby during their 50% off Christmas weeks! Big rolls of nice, thick paper (with the 1″ square grid lines on the back–SCORE!) and a great variety of designs for between $3-5 during those weeks!!
Forrest Clark says
That’s a great tip! I’m going to have to head on over to Hobby Lobby this week for that!

Our Sam’s Club (probably all Sam’s Clubs) sells rolls of high quality double sided wrapping paper every year for $10. These rolls last forever. I have bought new rolls simply because I grew tired of the same patterns after two years. It’s amazing how long these rolls last!
Great post! I will definitely be following your suggestions this year!
Katie says
Good to know, thanks Amy! And I hope you find a few treasures at the Dollar Tree as well 🙂
