Looking for a great homemade doughnut recipe? How about 35? Here are some of the best homemade doughnuts recipes on the web — be warned though, we aren’t responsible for any weight gain after not being able to resist making all of these!)
As I’ve mentioned before, Forrest grew up making doughnuts on Christmas Eve with his family, and it’s a tradition we’ve continued on in our little family as well. Who doesn’t love delicious and sweet doughnuts? Whenever I make doughnuts, I typically make them using my Wilton Doughnut Pan, and I bake them, just because I try and tell myself it’s slightly healthier that way. However, I never turn down a good ol’ fried doughnut either.
We love making them together, and I think it’s a tradition everyone should. There are so many awesome ways to make a doughnut, with tons of different flavor combinations. In preparation for this year, I decided to find a bunch of different ideas for doughnuts. I was pretty surprised at some of the ideas people came up with, but as I was making this, I found myself totally drooling. If I wasn’t so sore from a Pump exercise class I did a few days ago, I would definitely be in the kitchen whipping up a batch of one of these recipes.
So, if you are looking for some unique doughnut recipes, you’ve definitely come to the right place. I don’t know which one I’ll try first, but I assure you, I will be making some of these soon!

Thank you so much for including both my snickerdoodle and eggnog donut hole recipes! I wish we had the tradition of making donuts on Christmas Eve too. The only time my mom and I tried making donuts while I was growing up, it was a huge disaster… So our whole family ended up walking the half mile down the street to our favorite donut shop instead. 😉

You are so very welcome! My husband was especially excited about the egg nog ones 🙂 That’s so funny about going to buy donuts instead. That sounds like something we would have done in my family growing up. Fortunately, my husband has donut making down to an art 🙂
