In a world where there seems to be never-ending options when it comes to toys and entertainment for children, it actually isn’t as easy as it might seem to pick out toys!
Parents are busier than ever before and they don’t have time to waste on toys that won’t help their child’s development.
Lovevery is the solution. Their play kit is designed to give children a head start in their development, and all of the products are high-quality and made in the USA. They make gift buying for children easy and are dedicated to providing families with timeless and well-made toys, books, and more.
What are Lovevery Play Kits?
Lovevery’s monthly play kit is a selection of games, toys, puzzles and books aimed at your child’s development. The company subscribes to the Montessori philosophy of learning, which believes that children learn best when they are allowed to explore and make their own decisions.
There is one play kit for each age group, and the age groups are split into three-month periods from birth until four years old.
How much do the Lovevery Play Kits cost?
The subscription includes free shipping, and you can cancel the subscription at any time.
For months 0-12, each kit is $80 per play kit. They are sent every two months.
All play kits after this are $120 per play kit, and they are sent every three months.
This may seem expensive, but keep in mind that each play kit includes a bunch of items, which are definitely valued at least at the cost of the box.
What comes in Lovevery play kits?
Each Lovevery play kit contains 5-7 high-quality products that are meant to help your child develop their comprehension of language, sensory stimulation, and motor skills. Most boxes include:
- Toys made from child-safe and sustainable materials
- All toys are made from harvested wood, organic cotton, nontoxic paint, and baby-safe plastics.
- harvested wood, organic cotton, nontoxic paint, and baby-safe plastics.
- A colorful and interactive book (these are my son’s favorite!)
- Instructions on how to use toys and ideas to make them even more interactive.
Our Experience
With our youngest son, we have received several boxes over the course of his childhood. When we first started getting them, they were only available for up to 36 months, but I just saw they offer boxes up to 48 months, so I can hardly wait to try one of those out!
We have been so pleased with every kit we’ve gotten from Lovevery. Each one is so thoughtfully curated, and I”m always so surprised at how excited my son is to get the box. Even more, I’m pleased to see there are games and products that almost always seem right on with that my son is interested in at that time.
I would honestly love it if there were something like this for my older kids. The toys aren’t junky at all, and they are definitely toys that we plan to keep and not get rid of in a few months.
My son gets SO excited when he sees a new Lovevery box appear on our front porch because he knows it is going to be filled with some fun items.
There have been a few duds (he’s not really into the felt toys), but overall, we’ve really liked everything. I always love how everything is brightly colored as well.
Our Favorite Kit
This is a hard one because each kit has so many fun items that our son has really enjoyed. But if I had to pick, I think I would say either “The Enthusiast” or “The Babbler” have been our most-used kits. Really, though, we’ve never been disappointed and there are items from each box that we continually use.
However, my son REALLY loved the working sink that came with “The Helper”. I thought that was pretty cool, myself.
My son’s FAVORITE Part
This might be surprising, but my son’s most-used part of the kits are the books. At first, I thought they were kind of weird, but we actually love reading them together. They include actual pictures of children going through situations that are very common for children. My son loves reading them at night – he always calls them his “nighttime books.”
I love that they contain pictures of real children going through real experiences your child might deal with. For instance, there is one about a little girl who goes to the doctor. We read this right before we went to my son’s doctor’s appointment, and it really helped prepare him for the next day! I wish they sold these individually.

What is the cost per toy?
This is a tricky question, as not every box has the same amount of items in it. I would say, on average, there are eight different items available. So for the 0-12 month boxes, that would be about $10 per toy. For the 12+ month boxes, it’s about $15.
Keep in mind that not all of the items are of the same value, so you really have to look at the box as a whole.
Can you buy individual toys from Lovevery?
Lovevery does sell some items individually, but for the most part, you can’t buy just one or two toys from a play kit.
