15 Hotel Suites Near Disneyland Perfect for Families

Hotel and Disneyland Park

Having gone to Disneyland many times over the past eight years, our family has stayed in our fair share of hotels. For our family (and I’m sure most families), an affordable hotel suite that is NEAR Disneyland is crucial.

I have spent hours combing through all of the Get Away Today partnered hotels (we book all , calling many of them, and scouring their websites (and Google images) to make sure they fit my requirements. I know how much time goes into planning a Disneyland trip, and I want to save you as much time as possible.

Here is the criteria I used as I put together this list – based on the things that are important to my family when booking hotels for Disneyland trips. I think you’ll find some overlap with your list. Below, you will find hotels that:

  • Within about one mile of Disneyland – I think it’s nice to find a hotel within walking distance if possible
  • Offer a free breakfast (if you want our best recommendations for this category, check out this post – 5 Best Hotels Near Disneyland with Free Breakfast)
  • Actual suites – there is at least one bedroom with a separate living space

All of these hotels near Disneyland with family suites can be booked through Get Away Today – I highly recommend using them to book your vacation.

We’ve used them several times, and it’s always a great experience. They also offer certain perks that you won’t get otherwise – for instance, many of the hotels they partner with waive the parking, resort, etc. fees when you book through GAT.

Plus they have a price-match guarantee – if you find a cheaper price for the exact room, they will give you the same price plus $10 off.

You can get an additional $10 off any vacation package when you use the code MFTG at checkout (or mention us when you book over the phone!)

Our Rating System

Walkable Rating – if a hotel is less than 15 minutes away (walking) via Google Maps, I have put that it is walkable.

Pricing – I have put a star rating next to each hotel. Keep in mind that prices will vary depending on when you go, so I can’t really put exact price ranges. Here is the scale for that:

* – Budget
** – Mid Range
*** – Upper Mid Range
**** – Luxury/Expensive

There is a blue bar below each hotel where you can to see current pricing and book directly through Get Away Today.

Hotel Suites in Disneyland

Disneyland Resort Hotels are the most expensive option – we have never stayed at one of the Disneyland resort hotels, but I’ve heard it’s an amazing experience.

They are very pricey, so it’s one of those things you can weigh the pros and cons of. Don’t worry – the rest of the hotels listed are much less expensive per night!

One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of these suites can fit quite a few people, so if you are going with friends or family, you could split the price!

But if you want to stay at a resort hotel, rest assured – they DO have suites available. None of them appear to have kitchenettes (though there may be a wet bar in the most expensive one), but they could certainly fit a large group of people.

The Disneyland Hotel has had many different changes over the years. It originally had just over 100 rooms, which rented for $15 a night (a little over $100 in today’s money – definitely not anywhere close to what it costs now!). Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort-Convention Center

This is also a newer hotel that is about a 13-minute walk to Disneyland. It has some of the highest reviews I’ve seen for a hotel. It looks pretty booked out though for the near future.

Forrest and I actually stayed here in November of 2019, and we LOVED it. It is a little further than some BUT it’s right next to the Toy Story parking lot, so you can just jump on that. Super convenient. They served a light dinner at night as well.

Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

Overall, this hotel gets good reviews for being a comfortable place to stay with lots of room. The main complaints I say had to do with the WiFi being super slow. Many people say that they were easily able to work in Disneyland from here, as well as plenty of restaurants.

This one looks really nice, though it’s definitely one of the priciest of the options.

Staybridge Suites Anaheim at the Park

This is a brand-new hotel that is very close to the park. Staybridge Suites are typically quite nice, so this would be a good option for anyone who wants something nice that’s right by the park. It’s pretty reasonably priced as well. It doesn’t have quite as good of a review as the other Staybridge hotel, though.

Distance from Disneyland: This is pretty close to the park at .7 miles, but when talking with a friend, she said she wouldn’t suggest walking. Upon looking on Google Maps, it is about a 20-minute walk, and it’s not in the most convenient walking location. For that, I would say this is NOT WALKABLE.

Suite Options: They just have one suite option at this location

Over 1 Mile from Disneyland

Embassy Suites Hotel Anaheim South

I’m usually a pretty big fan of the Embassy Suites. This one seems to have a fancy breakfast, as well as a manager’s reception every night. It’s a little further, but it looks quite nice. The reviews on Get Away Today are subpar, so that’s something to keep in mind. The sleeping options aren’t my favorite, but they do have suites. It is safari-themed!

Stanford Inn & Suites

I mention this one first not because it’s the fanciest of hotels, or even because it’s the closest to Disneyland. I mention it because I think it gives you huge value for your money, and the suites are very spacious. It also has great reviews across the board.

They also decorate the rooms in Disney-style, which really makes the experience even more fun.

This was actually my first choice for when we went to Disneyland, but it was sold out for several of the days we were going. They have some great options for rooms – multiple rooms, bunk beds, and even two bathrooms in some of them. The price is pretty unbeatable compared to many hotels in the area.

Distance from Disneyland: 1.3 miles –a little further than I would like, but not too bad. NOT WALKABLE.

Suite Options: There are multiple suite options, including ones with two bathrooms!

  • 2 bedrooms/2 bathroom with 2 Queen beds and a bunk bed

Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area

This is where we stayed at a few years ago at. It’s not the closest, but it has what we need, and we can ride the shuttle pretty easily! I’m always a fan of Residence Inn Hotels. They also have a BBQ, outdoor area, and complimentary snacks Monday through Wednesday during hospitality hour.

It had the BEST hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. So many delicious options and variety.

  • One Bedroom Queen Suite – 2 queen, sofa bed
  • Two Bedroom Kid’s Bunk Bed Suite – 1 King, sofa bed, bunk bed

How to Get the Best Deals on Disneyland Hotels

Hotels near Disneyland are rarely going to be considered “cheap”, but there are certainly ways to make them more affordable.

  • Traveling during the week (Tuesday through Thursday will often have the best deals).
  • If you want to take a gamble, you can use Priceline and get killer deals through their Express Deals – especially if you do it the day of or the day before. I would not recommend this if you are planning your dream vacation to Disneyland 🙂
  • Travel during the off-season – make sure you check out our best post about the best time to visit Disneyland.
  • Split the room – this isn’t always ideal, but if you are going with people other than your spouse, children, etc., it can make it a lot less expensive if you split the cost of the room. I would only recommend doing this if you get a suite option!
  • And book through Get Away Today! I know I mention them a lot, but they are the best way to get the most bang for your buck. They also will have a price match policy, where, if you find the exact room for cheaper elsewhere, they will match it plus refund you $10! By booking a Disneyland vacation package, you will save even more!

Don’t forget to use the code MFTG when booking your trip through Get Away Today for an extra $10 off your vacation package!
